Sending our youngest to school in Canada was memorable. My Indian upbringing emphasized respect & obedience to teachers. Here I learned teachers have authority, but children can have opinions. I recently spoke with Shipra Chaudhury, a Montessori teacher with 17 years of experience. Originally from Kolkata, India, Shipra earned her Master's in English & taught O' level English in Dubai.
